Velocis has a long relationship with Sumitomo Corporation of America (“SCOA”), beginning in 2008 with the sale of an office building to SCOA. Since then, the real estate affiliate of SCOA, known as SCOA Real Estate Partners has provided equity to a number of separate development projects sponsored by Velocis. Velocis and SCOA continue to review development opportunities together, particularly in the industrial space.
