Associate

Joshua Brenner is an Associate at Velocis, where he is responsible for supporting management in the processes of underwriting and analyzing potential real estate investments, with a primary focus in the firm’s real estate secondaries strategy. Prior to joining Velocis, Brenner served as an Investment Banking Analyst at Jefferies on the Private Capital Advisory team working closely with private equity sponsors and limited partners to generate liquidity through secondary market transactions, including continuation vehicles, direct secondary transactions, fund tender offers, preferred equity and structured solutions, and portfolio sales of limited partnership interests. At Jefferies, Brenner helped clients transact across a variety of alternative asset strategies including buyout, venture, growth, natural resources, infrastructure, credit, and real estate totaling over $4.0 billion in NAV and $1.0 billion of unfunded commitments on behalf of corporate and public pensions, family offices, asset managers, and university endowments. Prior to Jefferies, Brenner gained experience at Trive Capital as a Private Equity Intern.

Brenner holds a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business, with a specialization in Alternative Asset Management, and a BS in Mathematics from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences.
