Lindsay Coker

Lindsay Coker is the Executive Assistant at Velocis, where she is responsible for the day-to-day office operations. Prior to joining Velocis, Coker served in multiple legal and compliance capacities at HBK Capital Management and H.I.G. Capital. Her background consists of bank debt closing for High-Yield and Distressed Loan trading, loan reconciliation, and legal team support.

Coker holds a BA from the University of Oklahoma.

Chad Cormier

Chad Cormier is a Strategic Advisor at Velocis, where he is responsible for the overall implementation of the Velocis Diversity Equity & Inclusion initiative. Alongside the Velocis Partners, Cormier helps lead the Velocis Diversity Internship Program and the Velocis Diversity Mentorship program, in addition to administering quarterly bias trainings. Cormier also serves as Chairman and CEO of Marcellus Ventures Holdings and is the Chief Diversity Equity & Inclusion Officer at NOCAP Sports. Prior to joining Velocis, Cormier served as Corporate Counsel at Encore Enterprises and had compliance roles at Blue River Partners and STRAIT. 

Cormier holds a JD from the Washington and Lee University School of Law and a BBA in Business Management & Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Cody Danks Burke

Cody Danks Burke is a Strategic Advisor at Velocis, where he supports management in various capacities, including investment strategy, corporate policy, and general partner best practices. Danks Burke also serves as a faculty member at Cornell University. Prior to joining Velocis, Danks Burke spent 14 years in Cornell’s Investment Office where he served as Senior Investment Officer and Head of Real Assets for the endowment. Previously, Danks Burke was an investment analyst at the Partnership Fund for New York City and had roles at the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the U.S. House of Representatives. 

Danks Burke holds an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a BA from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Lauren Gielincki

Lauren Gielincki is an Associate at Velocis, where she is responsible for assisting management with financial analysis, portfolio management, and capital market activities. Prior to joining Velocis, Gielincki served as an Investment Banking Credit Associate at J.P. Morgan in the Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging Investment Banking sector, where she performed financial underwriting and due diligence of complex financing solutions for investment and non-investment grade corporate companies, as well as direct real estate level financing. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Gielincki gained experience at Black Knight Financial Services as an Internal Audit Intern.

Gielincki graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University School of Business with a BS in Finance.

Fred Hamm

Fred Hamm brings more than 35 years of experience in investment consulting, wealth management and commercial real estate to Velocis. At Velocis, Hamm serves on the Investment Committee and as the Fund Manager and is responsible for legal, compliance, administration and investor services. Prior to forming Velocis, Hamm was an executive officer of Keystone Group, responsible for managing clients’ cash, equities and real estate assets. With more than 20 years of experience as a private wealth manager and investment consultant, Hamm has spent the majority of his professional career serving high-net-worth clients and private investors with the goal of conservatively growing portfolios. 

Hamm holds an MBA from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Houston Hyde

Houston Hyde is Director of DST Analysis and Due Diligence at Velocis, where he supports the analysis and structuring of DST investments for Velocis Exchange. Prior to joining Velocis, Hyde served as a Due Diligence Analyst at Orchard Securities, an industry-leading managing broker-dealer for alternative investments. During his career, Hyde has conducted in-depth analysis for, and consulted on, dozens of alternative investment products involving billions of dollars of investor capital.

Hyde holds a BA in Finance from Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Mike Lewis

Mike Lewis has over 35 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. At Velocis, Lewis serves on the Investment Committee and plays a major role in sourcing deals and unlocking value in various portfolio assets. Prior to Velocis, Lewis served as Managing Director, Management Committee Member and Executive Committee Member at Crescent Real Estate Equities, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Morgan Stanley. At Crescent, Lewis was responsible for over 43 million square feet of office, medical office, retail, residential and hotel assets valued at approximately $6.5 billion in major markets across the country. As Managing Director at Crescent, Lewis and his team disposed of more than $2.0 billion in assets. 

Lewis holds a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Max Scherer

Max Scherer is an Associate at Velocis, where he actively supports the firm’s industrial developments with a focus on development underwriting, due diligence and closing, asset management, and dispositions. Prior to joining Velocis, Scherer served as a Development Associate at Dalfen Industrial. At Dalfen, he was involved in project management, due diligence, financial analysis and reporting.

Scherer holds a Master of Real Estate from Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School and a BBA in Finance from The University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business.

Karun Someshwar

Karun Someshwar is a Senior Associate at Velocis, where he is responsible for supporting management in the processes of underwriting and analyzing potential real estate investments, with a primary focus in the firm’s real estate secondaries strategy. Prior to joining Velocis, Someshwar served as a senior underwriting analyst at The Beneficient Company Group, where he was primarily focused on underwriting GP-led and LP-led secondary fund interests totaling approximately $1.0 billion in NAV across various private capital strategies, including buyout, growth, real estate, and venture. Prior to Beneficient, Someshwar worked as an audit associate at KPMG in their asset management practice servicing their large private equity clients in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Someshwar holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas.

Justin Wall

Justin Wall is a Vice President at Velocis, where he actively works on all of the firm’s development opportunities with a focus on development underwriting, due diligence and closing, asset management, and dispositions. Prior to joining Velocis, Wall served as a Senior Analyst at MetLife Investment Management in the real estate acquisitions and joint ventures group. At MetLife, he sourced, analyzed, and presented investment opportunities across all major property types, including industrial, multifamily, office, retail, hospitality, life science, self-storage, and single-family rentals. Prior to MetLife, Wall worked at The Retail Connection as a Development Associate.

Wall holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business and a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Dallas Baptist University.
